We are seeking a full-time Director of College Ministries for The Wesley of Conway, Arkansas. The Wesley at Conway is a ministry to the higher education community, serving students, faculty, and staff of the varied Colleges and University campuses in Conway. We are seeking a person looking to cultivate faithful and fruitful students who are being transformed and equipped to bring God’s light and love into the world. College Ministries Director Position

C1Youth Summer Internship

Conway First United Methodist Church is a growing youth ministry, helping students live in God’s grace, rooted in Christ’s love, and bearing the fruit of the Spirit.

Role:

Join us as a Summer Youth Ministry Intern! Gain hands-on ministry experience, develop leadership skills, and explore your call to ministry in a supportive, multi-staff church setting.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and assist in youth activities: Bible studies, retreats, weekly meetings, mission trips, and events

  • Build meaningful relationships with youth

  • Support the Youth Pastor in planning and leading programs

  • Attend worship and serve as a Christian example

Details:

  • Dates: June 1 – Mid-August (approx. 12 weeks)

  • Hours: 20–25 per week, part-time

  • Pay: $1,100/month

  • Requirements: Completed sophomore year of college or 20+ years old with 2 years work experience

Youth Ministry School Year Intern

Conway First United Methodist Church is seeking a Youth Ministry Intern for the 2026–2027 ministry year. This part-time internship is designed for college students or young adults exploring a potential call to ministry and wanting hands-on experience in a large, multi-staff church environment or a career working with young people. 

About the Internship

The Youth Ministry Intern will gain practical ministry experience while helping lead and support programs for middle and high school students. Interns will work closely with ministry staff and volunteers while developing leadership, communication, and discipleship skills.

Internship Details

  • Dates: September 2026 – May 2027

  • Hours: 10–15 hours per week

  • Compensation: $660/month 

  • Reports to: Directors of Youth and MidYouth Ministries

  • Location: Conway, Arkansas

  • Housing: Not provided

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in planning and leading youth programs, including Bible studies, retreats, mission trips, and weekly gatherings

  • Help facilitate Sunday School, midweek youth programming, and special events

  • Build meaningful relationships with middle and high school students

  • Assist with ministry preparation and administrative tasks

  • Step into leadership roles when needed

  • Participate in intern cohort training, mentoring, and gatherings

  • Attend weekly worship at Conway FUMC or your home church

  • Model Christian character in ministry, personal life, and the community

Preferred Qualifications
